What Kind of Fast Should I Do?

Whether you decide to give up a certain type of food or take a break from social media, this form of self-denial, when used to focus on prayer, will align your heart with the heart of God. It is a time where we quiet ourselves from the distractions around us, so that we can hear from God more clearly. Fasting isn’t about losing weight, it’s about gaining vision.

Your personal fast should present a level of challenge, but it is very important to know your body, your options, and most importantly, to seek God in prayer and follow what the Holy Spirit leads you to do. Please remember that every person is different and you should only choose what is a healthy and safe choice for you.
